I submitted the I-751 to remove the temporary conditions on my green card. It's now been 7 weeks and I have not received the Receipt Notice from INS. I have called them and they gave me my receipt number so at least it's in process. I still need this Receipt Notice so that I can travel overseas while waiting to get my 10 year green card. What do I need to do to get a receipt? I have called INS several times but I get no answers from the immigration officer. Can I go to my local INS office and get a stamp in my passport since I have my receipt number or do I need to wait until I get the actual Receipt Notice?
 
Need some Info

I have also filed I-751 at Calif. Service Center 3 weeks back and haven't heard from them. They havent even encashed my check.

Should I call the INS to find about it, as you know the conditional card expires within 3 months..Any pointer will be helpful

Which Number did you call ?
