I-751 removal the conditions

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, friends:

I am in difficult situation. I married to an US citizen in Jan2002. Got conditional GC in April-2003. The USCIS received my appl of 751 in 1st Mar-05 since then no response. But my USC spouse is proceeding divorce from me. Obviously it's very frustrating and stressing for me. I am trying to keep the costive divorce proceeding go as slow as possible, but it won't last after the end of this year according the court schedule. I am trying also to collect as many as possible the evidence of our marriage live together, but my spouse is trying to destroy or hide them. Since we only actually lived together only about 6 months and the rest of our 3.5 year marriage we lived in different states because I was pursuing my PhD. We exchanged numerous visits.

Please post your comments, ideas, experiences & stratigies on what could be my best approach to take.

Thanks,

A desperate person

P.S. mine is in Nebraska Center

I think the only thing you can do is try to work things out with your husband. I'm not sure, but I heard as long as you do not agree with divorce and do not sign divorce paper, a divorce can take up to more than a few years.

zlin & ari4

Thank both of you.

Since my spouse already signed jointly the I-751 and the parents wrote a affidavit testifying our marriage was entered into good faith instead of evading immigration laws, some people say I won't have problem.

But the thing is we still could be picked up for interview. Obviously my spouse will not be cooperative at all. I have many emails, pics, but my spouse is not giving me our pics, and all the common friends who know our relationship are her side they won't come up to help me either.

Do you think it's not worth paying the expensive lawyer just to keep the divorce last as long as possible or just let it go. Because if we are picked for interview my wife still won't help me, then the USCIS won't accept my new I-751 submitted by myself.

Extremely depressed.
