Hi guys,

Because of some allegedly returned mail, USCIS was telling me that my application was denied. They told me the only thing I can do is MTR. Thanks for the encouragement from this forum I did that without an attorney. Now they have sent me the letter that was supposedly returned.

It is actually an RFE. here are the questions I have.

1. tax return - they said it should be a transcript from IRS. Should I send them the copy of the transcript or the original I got from IRS? Also do I need to send the copy of W2's?

2. The letter says that I should send the letter itself in the ORIGINAL. Do I send the letter back with theinfo needed? Is that common?

Copy of of an actual transcript is sufficient, you do not need to attach W-2. You should send them original letter (RFE) with the requested documentation. Just make a copy for yourself (in case they say they need it again...it has happened before, they tend to loose documents).
