I 751 question

I submitted an I-751 in 06/2004, to the Texas service center, got a letter 3 weeks ago saying that my case was transfered to my local office (Dallas) for adjudication and that they will schedule an interview and let me know when to show up.

Is this normal procedure for the I-751?
I didn t think I was going to go to a 2nd interview, also anybody know how long it takes to get an interview? my green card expires on 9/05 after the 12 months extension. what if i still don t thave an interview by 09/05, can i get another extension?

Is this normal procedure for the I-751?

My colleague, who obtained his GC through marriage, was required to go to the local office for an interview to remove the conditions on his GC. (CSC/San Francisco). I don't know if it's normal procedure or not. He certainly had nothing in his file or background to suggest the need for a local interview, except perhaps to verify the marriage was still intact.
