I-751 Issue for my Wife

I filed my wifes I-751 at the end of may and sent it in. The post office tracking number said it was delivered to the Laguna Niguel CSC office on June 6, 2006. The expiration on her greencard reads June 26, 2006.

I decided today to do some reading on the filing of the I-751 since my check had not been deposited as of yet. It seems that the service center takes a while to process everything. Now I am a bit nervous because they recieved it only 20 days before my wifes green card expires. Has anyone else filed this late, and did it go through ok? Someone suggested that since I did file so late, that I should go to my local INS office here in Sacramento and get her passport stamped?

Wait for the NOA. Without it they will not stamp anything. As a matter of fact you don't even need a stamp, the NOA they will send you is the extention itself. But if course, you can go ahead and make infopass and stamp her passport if it will make you feel better. But only after the NOA!
It's OK that you send it 20 days before the expiration. As long as it's withing
required 90 days before the expiration it's all good. I read a post somewhere about a couple that send it 3 days before the expriration, and everything went just fine.
So don't worry, just wait!
