I 751 concerns

I applied I 751 about 6 months back at California centre. I had my biometric done as usual 2 months after filling. After that I never heard anything from USCIS, neither interview letter nor request for additional evidence.

I understand it is not a simple case, since I applied based on good faith wavier. But I thought by this time at least I get a letter for interview OR request for additional evidence.

It is frustrating! Just for that reason I am trying to postpone my moving to New Orleans, LA from St Louis, MO.

It looks like I can not do much on this. I did info pass and which was not useful.

1. What are my options now?
2. Waiting is the only option?
3. Since it is going to be more than normal processing time can I do anything?
4. Is moving is a problem if I change my address with USCIS?

Thank you.

The national goal and the California Service Center time line for I-751 is 6 months. If it is outside of that time line you could call customer service and ask them.

The only issue with moving is if CSC sent it to the St. Louis DO for some reason, then it might take longer for them to get it to the New Orleans DO if the DO needs it for some reason. Again, customer service should be able to assist you with a change of address.

When can you apply for citizenship (N-400)? Applying for citizenship will force USCIS to adjudicate on your pending I-751 application.

Based on what you said, I am guessing you are about 4-5 months away from applying for citizenship?

And, moving is not a problem. File AR-11 online and make sure you send a paper copy with return receipt. Obviously, moving may add more time to your processing. Also, if you need to apply for citizenship you have to be a resident in that state for a period of at least 3 months.

Not really. My I 751 is good faith waiver based on divorce.

N 400 is not a option for me right now.

I am applying based on divorce and good faith wavier. So N 400 is 5 years rule for me. 3 yr rule does not apply for me.

That’s not a option for me at all.
