this thread is for my friend Mr. Xu.
he was granted Asylum 2 years ago. he filed I-730 for his wife and daughter, but those 2 cases were denied.
the reason was funny. his wife lost the marriage certificate. she went to the local police station to get a new one, but she didn't have the 2 inch photo of her with her husband. a police officer gave her a stupid idea of cropping 2 photos then put them on a copier to create a new photo.
during the interview, the IO saw the "forged" photo and denied both cases.
today, he got a letter from USCIS saying they are reconsidering the case.
does anyone know how long it's gonna take USCIS to make a decision again?
thanks
