I-730 Approved, Now What?

Hi all,
A couple of days ago I received an email from USCIS informing me that the I-730 petition that a filed for my daughter (8 year old) has been approved! I am so happy! It's been 9 months since I applied.

I am now concerned about how long it will take her to be able to come to the United States. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a visa after an I-730 is approved? Anyone has particular experiences with embassies located in western europe (england, spain, italy, france, etc)? Does it even make a difference compared to other countries with high processing volumes?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't think it should take a long time. Once you get the approval notice in the mail send a copy of the notice to your daughter, and tell her take it to the embassy along with her passport and any relevant documents. The BCIS will also send the approval to the country where your daughter is residing.

Usually in Europe they issue these visas the same day if they have all the documents in order.

Thank you for your response!
They told me the approval usually takes 14 days to arrive. That gives me enough time to gather all the pertinent documents (I'm not sure what they are yet). I am also going to call the Department of State because I read somewhere that they are in charge of sending the approval notice to the embassy.
It's a good idea to have her go to the embassy in Madrid, I hadn't thought of that! But I also want to call them because I'm not sure how they handle cases involving a minor. My daughter is staying with my mom and I can ask her to go to the embassy but I'm not sure if she can act on my daughter's behalf or if I need to send her some kind of authorization.
Anyway, things are confusing, I'm not very familiar with the process yet! If anyone can share any other information with me I would really appreciate it!
I'll keep you posted!
Thanks again!
