I-551 Stamping

Folks,

Could someone confirm what the I-551 stamping should read, my stamping has an A#, class, validity (1 yr) and the stamping reads -"Processed for I-551 temporary evidence of lawful admission for Permanent residence, etc, etc".

I just want to make sure this is how it should be on our passports before I go to SS Admin office for a new SS card. I have not received any welcome letter or plastic cards yet my DOE was 23rd Dec 03 at LA.

Yes thats what i-551 should read...verbatim and is generally in red ink. Show the SSA officer the stamp and they know the rest.

Dont worry a lot about the welcome letter since it takes about 3-4 weeks plus add the time of holidays we had in december. Again the phsycial GC takes about 3 weeks - 6 months after receiving the welcome letter.
