I-551 stamping question. Please help!

I went for CP and Chicago was my POE. Looking at the red I-551 stamp on my passport I don’t see any Alien number (A#) and the stamp only has my name and date of birth. Is this typical for CP people? I have a copy of the cover sheet that was attached to the sealed envelope given by the consulate in India and handed over at the time of POE. Is the “IV” number on the cover sheet (its a eight digit number) same as the A#? I am planning to travel overseas next week. Would this be a problem? Any reply would be appreciated.

I551 should have your A#, DOE and expiry date (=DOE+1 year).
This can be a problem.
In your IV form, A# is the number near IV.

If everything but A# is present on stamp, you may consider writing it your self, AFTER getting legal advise.
