I-539 form returned due to wrong version

I applied for B2 VISA extension for mom using the I-539 available in the USCIS website. The revision is 07/30/04. They returned the form saying the form is obsolete and that I should use version 09/04/01 !!

Has anybody has this experience? This is at Texas SC.

So, I have re-applied using E-Filing. It appears E-Filing is the best method to apply for I-539.

My mom has only 10 days left on original I-94. I am in a dilemma as to what to do if they don't quickly decide on it. My mom has 10 year multiple -entry VISA.

Guys, any denial and successful re-entry stories to share?

how did you applied at first time ?

Did you file the first one as E-file or manual ? if online, how do we know the version ? please let me know

First time I appiled using manual form. Second time, I couldn't get the old version they wanted (it is not available on their website. I had no time to wait for the 1-800 number delivery of form in snail mail) So, I have Efiled the application, the second time. I have got the Receipt Notice with 5 days of E-filing.

(I am thankful that they didn't outright reject the application saying , I have used an unacceptable version)
