I'm planning to file an I-539 form for converting from H1B to f1 status. I have a MS Degree in civil engg. and have been working in the same field(civil engg.) for the past 3yrs.. Now, I am applied for a MS in computer science and I am a bit skeptical if USCIS will reject my I-539 if I am getting into MS in Computer science.
Could anyone please suggest me if there is any harm if I apply for MS in computer science as my previous education/skill set is all related to civil engg. and not to Computer's. Please suggest me if I can go ahead and apply for MS in computer science and defend myself for the same program on I-539 form.
The other option I see that I can apply for a degree is MBA program which includes - project management related courses. Please suggest me the best option to go with.
