I-485

I am really confused with this issue. Has any one have similar experience regarding marriage during I-485 application?

I got married after I filled I-485. I am trying to bring my wife to the states. My lawyer told me to bring her on F-1 visa because it will be the quickest way for my wife to join me.

On the hand, others are telling me to file form 1-824 (follow to join) for my wife and she will get her green at the same time mine 1-485 is approved.

I want to make the right decision. Has any one been in this kind of situation? I will please your input. Thanks

You did not mentioned your visa status.
If you are still working with H1 visa, I feel, the easiest way to get her here with H4 visa. And you should get her here ASAP (preferably before your I485 gets approved).
I do not know where the idea of F1 visa is coming from. But F1 may not be as easy as H4 unless she already has some paperworks for F1 visa (like letter from school, scholarship offer etc).

I am not sure if you are talking to a lawyer or a crook. Embassy will not give F1 visa once you disclose that there is immigration intent. Unlike H, F classification does not contains "dual intent"...
