I-485

Thanks to everyone who has, in one way or another, provided answers/help to my previous queries about my wife's legal status here in teh USA!

I was informed to file the I-485, which I'm more than willing to do. In fact I have the form before me at this writing. I also have the I-765 and the I-131.

In going through the instructions and qualifying requirements for the I-485, I failed to see any mention of immediate family of a USC. As stated earlier, I've sent in I-130 on her behalf and have a receipt number.

I just want to make sure that it's the right thing to do as I don't have resources in abundance so as to blow 200 plus dollars in vain.

Again, thanks to all that have already, and may in the future respond to my questions

You need to include Affidavit (Form I-864) of support, which will have these details. You need to add Receipt of I-130, Biographic information (Form G-325).

It is better consult an attorney for such things. Even if you go your Local CIS office they will assist you. My friend went to local BCIS office they helped him with all the forms.
