I-485 - which 'Application Type' - I'm confused

I am married to a USC and applying for an AOS. One thing I am confused about is what to select in Part 2: Application Type.

Reading through various threads on this forum seems to yield contradictory advice. Some say to tick (a) An immigrant petition giving me an immediate available immigrant visa number...

and some say (h) Other basis of eligibility, and to write in "concurrently filed I-130"
and there are some that ticked (a) that seemed to get theirs rejected.

So - I felt comfortable with that until I re-read the instructions that accompany the I-485 form which explains the payment amounts. It clearly reads:

A. Spouse, parent, unmarried son/daughter under age 21 of a U.S. citizen with an approved or concurrently filed Form I-130 (Part 2, Box "a" on the form);

So - this forum seems to suggest ticking (h) with a write-in, and the instructions appear to say (a). Which is it?

Two other quick questions:
- What does one do with the photos? Paperclip to the application?
- In assembling the package, binder clips, staples, plastic envelopes for each subsection? (I-130, I-485, etc).

Many thanks!
Nick

You chose A and you will be right on the money. I am willing to bet a hot woman for a A.

Photos, write your name legibly on the back of each photo, ( if possible, where you took the pictures, they tend to have these small passport size photos, grand a bunch and put the pictures there). DON'T STAPLE the PHOTOs themselves, USCIS might create problems for you. If you don't have an alien number, don't worry about it. In few weeks, your alien number will be mailed to you with a coupon to buy a jock strap at Walmart...lol!!!

You can use binder clips, folders but keep all your filing in one folder, you don't want your package to be separated which will cause you problems. If I were you, I would put all the necessary forms and evidence in one folder, clip it and put rubber bands around, mail it and enjoy a nice shot of grape juice and matzo brei.

Thanks Al.

There is some contradictory advice (including in the otherwise excellent sticky on the DIY Green Card process in this forum) which suggests (h), but I agree that (a) makes the most sense.

I'll hopefully file later this week. I've been married over five years, and living and working legally in the US for over 2 under a L1A visa - so hopefully should be fairly straight forward. We weren't sure we wanted to live in the US, but now have fallen for the spell (reminds me of the Sirens in Homer's Odyssey) - and now figured we may as well stay so I need to get the 'ol GC.
