I 485 update with H1 extension approval

Hi all,
I have applied for mine and my wife's I 485 with ND of 01/21/2003. When we applied, my H1B visa and wife's H4 visa were expired and our H1 and H4 extensions for pending. So my lawyer sent the old (expired) I 94 s, and receipt notices of pending H1 extension and pending H4 extension along with our I 485 applications. Now we got approvals for my H1 extension and wife's H4 extension. Do I need to send the approved copies of the my H1 extension, copy of I 94 and wife's approved H4 extension and her I 94.

The I-94 number will be the same on the extension as your original I-94.

My H-1 extension was received a month after I filed the I-485 but lawyer said that since I-94 number is the same, we would not need to send the extension approval papers.

But someone else can confirm.
