I-485 Transffered twice - back in Texas

My case is very unusual and maybe complicated. I’m currently in the process of filing I-485 employment based.

My I-485 application originally was received by the Texas Service Center on September 2001. Then on December 2003, it was transferred to Miami for processing which I’m not sure why. Finally a few days ago (June 4, 2004), I just got a notice that it was transferred back o Texas. The notice letter stated that it will take 900-950 days to process my I-485 application. On the other hand, my husband's I485 which was filed together with me stays in Miami until now. INS didn’t transfer his application back to Texas. Has anyone has this issue before?

My lawyer suggested me to write a letter to the state Senate (Florida). Has anyone done this? how?

I'm loosing my patience. My 6 years H-1 has expired and I have done 3 EAD extensions. I hope I don't have to wait another 2 years.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

senate contact

I contacted both state senators about 2 weeks ago and both of them have faxed the TSC for a request of expedited processing last week.

I went to their websites. One of them had a 'case work' tab that directed me to 2 forms, a case description form and a form that allowed the senator access to your personal files. I filled out both forms and mailed them to the office.

The other senator did not have a case work tab so I directly wrote him a letter describing my case. His case worker faxed me the necessary forms a few days later.

So I suggest to go to the website of your state senator(s) and either contact him/her directly or see if they have some premade forms that you can fill out.

Good Luck
