Hi All,

Thank you for these forums and moderators. Great work.

I want to share my situation here and also want to get some help from you all.

I had my I-140 filed under EB-2 category on Sept 3, 2002 (to VSC) from Upstate NY. I filed I-485 under concurrent filing in 2003 but somehow VSC lost it completely (I didn't even receive a receipt notice). I reapplied I-485 in April 2004 again (for both me & my spouse). We both got EADs by July.

My I-140 was finally approved on Oct 18, 2004. We moved out of NY at the end of October 2004. USCIS was notified both by phone & AR-11 filing (after 180 days had been past). On Nov 15, 2004, VSC transferred my I-485 to Buffalo, NY. Today (12/10/04), I received "Interview Notice" from Buffalo local office which is dated "11/30/04". Of course, they sent this letter to my then address in Upstate NY. My interview is on Jan 5, 2005. By the way, on this interview notice, they had my priority date as "Sept 3, 2002". I didn't receive such notice for my spouse.

I am confused now on what to do. They asked me to bring current letter verifying employment and last two months paystubs. How can I show them. I left the area and I don't have the paystubs from my old employer.

In addition, they mentioned in the letter "You must get your fingerprints taken BEFORE your interview date". How and where should I go for fingerprints?

To complicate the matter, my spouse is in India for the moment. Will they give same interview date for both of us?

Any suggestions / experience with this office or with this kind of situation is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Please post your interview experiance

Hello rvrk,

My case was also transferred to Buffalo on November 4, 2004. However, my 140 & 485 was just filed recently with TSC. I can now see that they go by RD in local offices. I have searched this forum and have not found anyone else with an interview experiance with Buffalo local office. This could be a good thing (don't know). I request for you to post your interview experiance after your interview on January 5th. I wish you good luck and hope for everything to go smooth and trouble free.

Hello rvrk,

Haven't heard from you for a few days. I have a question. Did Buffalo office update any information online when they send you the interview letter? I have noticed that often district offices do not update case status online. Again, I request for you to please post your interview experiance after your interview on 5th. I wish you good luck with the interview again.
