hope that one of you gurus can help shed some light on our new situation.

filed for K-1 visa: Jan 2004
K-1 approved: July 2004
fiance entered US: Aug 2004
married: Sep 2004
filed I-485 AOS: Sep 2004
received NOA that file was transferred from NYC district office to CSC: Sep 2005 (...even though we did not change address)

Members of this forum have previously explained to me that our I-485 was probably transferred to the CSC - even though he had not been interviewed yet - because NYC is backed up, and many files were transferred to CSC for faster processing.

yesterday, however, i received a reply to an e-mail i'd sent to the CSC inquiring about the status of my husband's I-485. the reply stated that the CSC could provide no information on his case because they had no jurisdiction - the file had been transferred to the "Eastern Service Center" (....which apparently is the VSC).

Why now, then, do you suppose our case been transferred again to the VSC? We are wondering what the *&+! is going on because we've been waiting about 5 months now for his new EAD and AP - and now think the delay in processing these is because we sent supporting evidence to the CSC - where we thought his I-485 was pending, instead of to the VSC.

Help!
