I was wondering if anybody had a similar situation: I filed I-485 based on marriage 07/31/2005, had an interview 4/29/2006 in Garden City, NY. At the interview, the officer told me the case was pending background check.
I sent a letter to the office in September and also went to the INFOPASS interview, with no results. This week the online message changed as follows -
"Review of the fingerprints taken relating to this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS has been completed. Processing of this case continues. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location."
Why would they transfer my case back to Missouri? Is that good news or bad news? What would you do in my place?
