I have recently filed for my I-485 (September 26th). I think there was two mistakes.
1. My resident is in Illinois, but I was temporarily in Hawaii for a project during my application. So, instead of filing in ‘Vermont Processing Center’, they filed my application to ‘California Processing Center’. My I-140 was filed in Vermont.
2. I hold a Masters degree in Information Systems from US University. I was under the impression that they would file my case as EB-2 Category. But recently I discovered My I-140 is under EB-3 category.
What are my options? Does CSC take longer time to process I-485 than VSC, or it doesn’t matter during I-485?
1. Is it possible to resubmit my I-485 to Vermont?
2. Would I be able to change my category to EB-2 now from EB-3?
