I have applied for permanent residency by way of marriage to a US citizen. My I-130 was approved and I promptly filed my I-485 in February 2009. Biometrics were taken back in early March. I have no unforeseen complications with my documents. Everything was straightforward.
Does anyone have an idea as to the average or approx. processing time for the I-485? My documents are at the National Service Center (receipt # MSC) and there is no processing time listed on the USCIS website for this center. Calling the USCIS number was pointless and they had no information. I have a number of friends in similar situations where all the processing was done in a matter of a few months (when thru marriage). Is it worth making an INFOPASS appt. if I do not hear anything in the next few months.?
