I 485 (Taking very long time)

Hello all,

I am a new user to this forum.

I applied for 485 on 2001
RD : Oct 23rd 2001
ND : Dec 26th 2001
FP : Mar 7th 2002

Still I haven't recevied my GC.

My friends who applyed much before me have got GC.
I don't know what is stopping my GC..
I listen to AVM and check status online, evrytime it gives the same message..

Infact,I called up INS once and they said evrything is fine but it is taking more time.They did not give me any details..

Please let me know, if any thing can be done to this..

Is anybody sailing in same boat as me..

There are many september and even some august cases which are still pending.
Mine is oct 2 nd RD and still no RFE, I didn't call INS because what is the use they will either say ,in staging area, or assigned , should hear from us shortly...

As the processing times says 365-540 days, ask your attorney to bug INS once 18 months limit is over.
One of our friend has RD July and still not approved, when he called INS told him , sorry we have placed your file in the wrong queue. Should hear from us soon.
And the wait goes on.......

I am also an Oct filer, still waiting for my 485. A colleague who had applied after me has got his GC, and another one who also applied after me has already been issued an RFE

Apparently, VSC had transferred some cases to local offices 2 months back. People who got transferred to local office got approved fast, but the unlucky few who were still at VSC are waiting. I had called IIO a week ago, and they said it will take 4-6 weeks more
