I 485 Status

Recently I have moved to a new address, called INS for Address update. I got an email from INS saying address has updated.

And I485 Status: Currently your I-485 application is awaiting assignment to an Officer

Please help what this status means(all security checks complete? just waiting for I485 approval or ???) and anyone got this status, please post your comments.

I140 Approved: Aug/2003
FP: 03/2003, 04/2005
Still Waiting on I485..........
 
i remember reading such thread .........where someone also got such response and was told by experts that checks are done!

I believe your NC is cleared. I had been there, 2.5 years pending on NC. After my NC cleared and case became current, congressman gave me the similar reply on case status: "waiting to be assigned to an officer". In 2 weeks, it was assigned to an officer, and asked for RFE.

likewise based on my experince of reading i can say NC is done
if not they would have given u status of NC pending

May be I need to wait till my PD is current to assigned to an officer or get Approval.
