I-485 RFE. please help

Hello,
We noticed that there is a mistake in my G-325a form, the company I worked for in my home country has an US address by mistake. We got RFE on my I-485. CIS asks lawful non-immigrant status for the period I worked for my old company. I think the address confused them and they think that my old company is in US.

Here are my questions:
1. Can I reply RFE by myself. My lawyer seems very slow, it has been more than 2 weeks we still did not send a reply back to CIS.
2. What should I do and how should I explain the case and what documents should I send?
3. If I fill a new G-325a with correct information and send a reference letter that I had from my previous company which show the date period of work and the address of the company, will this be enough evidence to get CIS accept this new G-325a form instead of previous.
4. Any suggestion that will help me pass this problem and avoid any further RFEs on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,

First Do not panic, and relax, don't make ur decissions and sending any document based on what u assume.

Here is my opinion.

1. Do not reply urself, Let ur Attorney to reply. if ur attorney is slow show just $$ cash and put on his table by saying for ur extra hardwork,
I hope u would deal rest of it how to push attorney , short word , feed his greed.

2. Read the RFE again and type exact words.
are they asking you to

A. Submit non immg status while u were working?????

B. Submitthe non immg status during 00/00/00 - 00/00/00 time.

if ur situation is 'B' than do not try to correct any thing in application, and do not send anything extra doc which is specificly not asked. realax and just reply in simple way. they are asking non-immg status in certain duration and this is very common RFE for ppl. all u need to send proof of INS approval of any visa Student/work blah blah... whatever proof that shows that u were here on stats.... thats it. do not send any thing else than asked.

I am sure they even wouldn't be reading ur old company address....

just send what they ask and let ur attorney to deal... don't waste time but spend some $$ for greedy attorney to wake him up.

You are not the only or first person wo have mistakes in application, so Don't worry everything will be fine, and don't assume unless they are clearly asking something....

wish u good luck

Hi PrinceofJungle,
Thanks for you advice, you are great help. You are right with option B too. However, I was not in US during the date period they are asking, so I can not really provide any document that shows my non-immigrant status. What should my lawyer do? Any idea?
Thanks.

Please give some detail

Example
submit Jan 2000 - Oct 2000

1. U entered in US but left U.S before Jan 2000 and came back June 2001.

2. U enter first time in U.S on Dec 2002

????? what is situation??? use fake date if u feel comfortable

Always use ur ND/RD/ LC FP/RFE dates and other case history, we all are on same boat and all we are sharing opinion. and without detail sometime its difficult to go for pin point issue.

Ok. You are good. Here are the real dates
April 2000 - July 2001, what they are asking.

Here are my details.
1. July 2001 is my L1 visa issued date, and I came US in November 2001 and started to work
2. May 2001 is my B1 visa issued date and I have been in US for 1 week visit three times with my B1 visa between May 2001 and November 2001.
3. I have not been in US before May 2001 but they are asking since April 2000.
Thanks,

Okay so U entered first time May 2001 ?
(u may enter june 2001 or july 2001 whatever I am using this date becz u haven't mention what day u entered first time in US)

And they are asking u to give proof of status from April 2000 - July 2001
because u never be in US before May 2001(assumed date) then how can u prove.

Okay first of all

First:
Gather all proof of ur status since u entered (May 2001) and u stay in US.

Second:
Ask your attoreny to write a explaining letter in response with proof. that

SINCE you entered first time in US from May 2001 you were in status and u kept that status all time till balah balah date.

also send them supporting doc specialy I-94 on which have entry date and port name.

Ask ur attorney also mention to ask in attorney english that "my client can prove maintening status when he was here in US"
He never presented in US leagally or illegally in US before May 2001.

Third:
................................
............................. I am using blank spaces first read and reply the following

With Example (use fake one) complete story of empl address here in US, and duration u mention. what exactly happened in form?

Good Luck
