I-485 RFE issued

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that my on-line status just changed today to say that an RFE was mailed out to me on 08/08/03. I have not yet received it and so do not know what it is about. Hopefully the approval will come very soon.
Here are my details:

PD: 04/29/99
RD: 07/18/01
ND: 08/28/01
FP: 12/20/02
RFE: 08/08/03
Aproval: ???

I have absolutely no idea. My wife's online status also has changed to reflect the same message. Whether this means that shee to has got an RFE or whether it is because our files are together I do not know. I will update this site as soon as I receive it.
 
hard to guess any reason because there could be so many but the good news is that your wait will be over soon and hopefully you will get your GC in the next few weeks.

How is your case? Any job change etc ? before or after 180 days ?
If you are still with your 140 sponsoring company, then this is
definitely good news for you. You shd be adjusted soon then.
If else too, if you are currently employed in similar job profile , you shd be fine.
Or maybe this is just a RFE for medical or something.

I am still with the company that filed my I-140. In fact I have been with them for more than 4 years now. The RFE could be for affidavit of support for my wife. My lawyer may have filed I-864 instead of I-134. Somebody else got an RFE for this very reason a couple of days ago. If thats the case then it is a no brainer quick fix. I should receive it by tomorrow I think. I'll keep you posted.
