I-485 RFE for I-693 form HPV vaccine

Hello,

I got a RFE on I-485 which states:

"According to the Supplemental form to I-693, you have not received the following required vaccinations which have been recommended by Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention: Human pappillomavirus".

When we applied for I-485 in 2008 HPV vaccine was not required. It was added to the list of required vaccines starting August 2008.
So its strange that we are asked to adhere to latest requirements.

But my main concern is regarding the vaccine itself. There is an ongoing debate regarding the side effects of the vaccine and its effectiveness.

Could anyone share similar experiences regarding HPV vaccine. Did you take the vaccine and is it safe? Please suggest what to do for this RFE.

If you are female over age 26, or male (of any age), you are not required to get the HPV vaccine. So if you are outside the required criteria, you can respond to the RFE and explain why you are not required to get it (include a copy of your I-485, evidence of your date of birth, etc.).
