I-485 rejected. I-485 filed by myself. Please advise.

"Your I-485 application is being rejected. Before you submit your I-485 documentation with the Service, you must address the grounds for rejection as noted below and ensure that a visa number is immediately available to you.

You have submitted the incorrect amount of payment of the filing fee for your submission. If you have submitted one remittance for the filing of multiple forms, please compare the amount you have sent with amounts required for each form as listed below. The correct fees are as follows:
--I-485 for applicants 14 years of age and older $255.00
--I-765 $120.00
--Fingerprint fee $50.00"

Fees I submitted
--I-485 $220.00
--I-765 $100.00
--Fingerprint $25.00

Can anyone advise me where I can obtain the visa number?
How to resubmit?

I don\'t think the problem is the visa number, it\'s the FEEs.

Probably you were not aware that the fees have been increased since Feb. You should refile and send the correct fees.

P.S. Since you filed I485 by yourself, you better do more research. Probably you might want to visit the INS Web site. Good Luck!
 
What other comments would you want?

The only reason the I-485 would be rejected this quickly is the improper fees. Refile with the proper amounts.

As they indicated clearly, REFILE the application with correct amount of fee as they told (or verify at INS website for each of the applications that you submit).

Visa number: You don\'t have to worry about it, as the Priority Date is CURRENT for all as of today....even if it goes back in the near future...you don\'t have to worry about as yours is a EB1 case....EB1 is always current for all countries....

so just double check the amount (as the fee is gone up recently, some websites may indicate the same old amount...best thing is to verify with INS or at INS website) and refile it.

There should be no problem

submit the latest version of the forms

INS website has latest version of forms for -i-485 etc available along with info on which versions are acceptable to INS.

If you are resubmitting the application along with the latest fee then make sure u submit the application forms with versions that are currently acceptable to INS and as of date.

Else they will return the application..

I took 6 MOs.

305.00 x 2 (myself and wife I-485)
160.00 x 2 (my kids I-485)
120.00 x 2 (myself and wife I-765 EAD)
