I-485 receipt void?

I went to get my iEAD card and was told my I-485 receipt is VOID in the INS system, I got it anyway. Seems local officers and my attorney don\'t know what it means. I was laid off within 180 days and find another job within 180 days, anybody know what that affects my I-485 application?
