Hey guys,
Has anyone applied for I-485 between the dates 07/17/2007 and 08/17/2007
based on revised visa bulletin in this forum.

my application reached texas service center on 07/26/2007.
As you guys may know, USCIS is putting out the weekly status reports on the I-485 receipt notices for which they are issuing the receipt notices. (Since large number of applications are received)

At Texas service center, they are still processing 06/30/07 I-485 receipt notices for the week of 08/24 & 08/17

Where as Nebraska Service center is processing 07/24/07 application receipts
as of 08/24 and 07/02/07 applications as of 08/17

I am not sure why Texas Service Center receipt processing is not moving ahead. I am curious to know whether all the cases are transfered to nebraska.

Here are the links from USCIS for your reference on what I am talking about

Sorry a small Correction in the post above I have posted: Texas Service Center has recieved my I-485 application on 08/02/2007 in the above post.

I am not sure if there is mistake in the update of the press release for Texas Service Center.

One of my friend is still waiting for the receipt send on July 2nd to NSC transferred to TSC.

Could you please comment on how did your friend know that his I-485 application was transfered to TSC from Nebraska without receipt number.

Could you clarify this Please

forget about it for next 4 yrs at least

Once you receive your receipt notices, forget about it for next 4 yrs at least, uscis is hell.

Couple of my colleague submitted application(s) for EAD/AP & I-140 on 07/17 & 07/24 to nebraska service center already got their LIN# as of now.
but mine was submitted to texas on 07/20, my checks are still not encashed..
Seems like it is stuck over their..
Are they transferring this applications to nebraska service center as mentioned in original thread..
pls post update if anyone have it.
thanks
Mojo....

mojo123,
As I posted earlier, Based on today USCIS press room release, TSC is still processing 06/30/2007 Which appears to be not correct.

But based on what you said that your checks still not cashed (Though you sent it on 07/20), I am not sure what to make of this.

Are they transfering all the cases to nebraska?? Anyone Has any info regarding this???

When did your I-485/AP/EAD reached TSC PO box according to USPS?

(And also a question, how come your collegues applied to nebraska where as you have applied for TSC. Are you guys not working in the same state)

well we are working in same state, but i guessed it because my I-140 receipt # starts with SRC, and i believe my attorney would have filed my EAD etc.. to same service center.
Whereas my colleague's receipts # starts with LIN that they received recently for EAD/AP etc..
Still i need to confirm with my attorny.
thanks
Mojo..

mojo123,
So based on what your saying you have applied for concurrent filing on 07/20.
I-140 & I-1485/EAD/AP.

But you have received your receipt notice for I-140 only and also you have not received any receipt notices for I-485/EAD/AP.

just FYI, I think for I-140 processing both Nebraska and Texas share the workload meaning if NSC has heavy load some I-140 applications will be sent to TSC to distribute the work evenly. This I have read on some website sometime back.

Looks like for I-1485 this does not apply,as I-485 instructions clearly specify where to apply based on state of residence. (for South + SE + NE at TSC)

Sorry for the confusion here, i didn't file for concurrent.
My I-140 was already approved on Oct'2006 from texas service center.[My receipt # starts with SRC for I-140].
Just got details from my attroney that my I-485/I-765/I-131 reached Nebraska service center on 23rd' July' 2007.
Now the confusion is why i still didn't received my receipt # (checks are also not encahsed) compared to few of my colleagues whose application reached after me, already had their receipt#.
Would it be possible that my application is forwarded to Texas Service center from Nebraska as my I-140 was approved from the same service center?
Thanks
Mojo

mojo123,
In which state your labor got approved? Till June only nebraska center used to accept all I-485's Now it has changed.
Based on state where your LC got approved, your's will be processed in either NSC or TSC.

and also whether your collegues got the receipt# in mail Or they happen to get it from back of their encashed check?

My ETA form 9089 (PERM) was certified from Chicago Processing Center.
And my colleagues got their current receipt# from attorney so i believe they already got their physical receipts as well.
thanks
Mojo

mojo123,
Sorry I meant In which state do you work. If you work in Illinois, most probably then your case won't be transfered to TSC.

Does your collegues and you applied via same lawyer. Did your lawyer send all those around the same day. If its the case, then probably you want to check with your lawyer to see whether he can inquire with NSC to see what's going on with your application. Atleast by now your checks should have been cashed.
Just FYI,By the way if they cash your check, you will know the receipt # on the back of the check image (if you have online banking)

Here is what the press release say :
http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/ReceiptingTimes082407.pdf

"USCIS would also like to remind the public to wait at least 14 days from the dates indicated above for their receipt notice to arrive in the mail before inquiring"
