I-485 Questions

My I-485 just got filled recently. I have two questions
a) Whats the average processing time before I-485 is approved? My I-140 was filled month back at same center (Nabraska)
b) In saw at various places in this forum terms like 'LUD' and 'AD' with various dates. What does it mean ?
c) What are the typical steps/stages in I-485. Do i have to do anything at various stages ?

Sorry for asking such questions but some i will really appreaciate answers to above questions...

It depends, if everything goes smooth, no RFE, and no probs with 140, my guess is 2-4 months, as this is the average times i have experience people having this forum, but again, if everything goes smooth that is.
b) In saw at various places in this forum terms like 'LUD' and 'AD' with various dates. What does it mean ?
These are the acronymns used in describing the case status, it took me quite some browsing to figure out.
RD: Receipt Date ND: Notice Date AD: Approval Date LUD: Last Updated
RFE: Request for further Evidence
c) What are the typical steps/stages in I-485. Do i have to do anything at various stages ?
Finger prints (Biometrics) either Code1 or 2 or 3 (it depends). Just follow the directions as stated in notices.
