I-485 question

Hi Gurus,
I have been a silent viewer of this forum. I have an important question. My RD is 11/29/02. I didnot change the company. I called my lawyer to update my I-485 with the latest employment letter, 2003 Tax Returns so that I can avoid atleast 2 months of RFE time and she said that it is waste of time and it will not go to the file. I wonder when I wanted to know what will happen if I sent the latest employment letter and 2003 Tax Returns and W-2 with a cover letter like whether all the communication like RFE will go to the lawyer or will it come to me since the latest cover letter will be from me. I don't want to screw up my case. I have the latest Employment letter notarized also given my HR dept.

Any advise would be really appreciated.

your lawyer is correct. you need to wait for an RFE for them to touch your file (maybe you'll get lucky and have an approval without one). However, if you have an RFE on a different issue (i.e. proof of marital status) you could probably still submit employment related information since your file would be active. there's very little point in sending additional information without an RFE.
