Hi everyone,

If I'm married to a USC, living in the US, and I was affiliated for a few years in a major democratic political party in Mexico, but never held any elected public office or had any party posts, would that have a negative impact on my process of AOS?

Thanks :)

No, it's definitely not Communist nor Totalitarian, it's actually the Party of the incumbent President of Mexico, but I was just wondering if an explanation of any kind needs to be attached to the I-485 or just put the name of the Party, nature and membership date range? My question is because I don't want the be under the impression that having been a part of a major political party is something that could be misrepresented by the officer...

The US has friendly diplomatic relationships with the President of Mexico and his government. There should be absolutely no reason why your affiliation with his party would hurt your green card or citizenship prospects.
