I had my GC interview (I 130 filed by my wife) in mid-december. The application was approved but the back ground check was not. We were told to check with the intereviewer in 2 months time. On talking with the interviewer again in feb. end, we were told that the check should be done soon...now here's the issues - i am going to be a full-time student in august and hence, either need a GC by that time or a F-1 visa. Now, there's no guarantee of when I will get the GC becoz of the uncertainities of getting the background check completed by then..also, getting the F-1 visa is tricky since I have already shown intent to immigrate by being on the H1B and filing the I-485.
I am looking for input / suggestion from you for tackling this situation. Thanks in advance for any insight you could share.
