I-485 processing time

Does any body know if the time for I-485 processing (ie. FP and Approval)is category related? Is EB-1 faster than EB2 or EB3 assuming that they are all current and filed on the same date? Thanks!!

Hi humbleman,
INS is very random at processing cases and there is no rhyme or reason for the things that happen to some cases. However, I do know that they process cases by Notice Date and EB category does not matter and I think they are currently processing January cases. Please post your details and match your info with others in this group with similar ND, FP date etc and you should be able to come up with a reasonable estimate.
Considering that everything is random you should call/fax the CSC on a regular basis to find out what is going on and also to keep your file from getting lost in the mess :-)
