if you have a lawyer, he/she should be taking care of all your paper work, you must take a medical exam with a ins approved doctor, take immigration style photographs for 485, EAD, AP. You can start preparing for some of the documents on your own like your birth, marriage certificates, copies of your two or three years of W2, passport copies etc., to speed up the process.
