I-485 Process resumption after 1st FP

Hello Friends,

I am a Jan, 2003 I-485 filer
My FP was done in March of 2003
Online status for my case still says "on March 3, we have sent you the Finger printing notice ...."

I had checked with FBI somewhere in June-July of 2003 and they told me that they have sent the FP results to INS/BCIS/USCIS within a month after my finger print was recorded (I am assuming some where in May of 2003)

Until last week I was under the impression that, this is the normal process.

Last week I saw one case for whch RD is close to my RD and subsequently I contacted this person and he says that his online status was changed to "received FP results, processing resumed..." somewhere in May, 2003.

Do you think, my case is sitting somewhere untouched? Should I contact anyone?

I think its not nromal. It usually says "received FP processing resumed", atleast for the 1st FP. For 2nd FP, sometimes they do not update the online system. Moreover you should have received 2nd FP notice. I think you should contact INS.

Thanks for your response. Are you suggesting me to contact INS on 1-800-375-5283? or is there any other number? Should I try to speak to a INS officer or inquiring with the usual representative is fine?

BTW, how do I speak to a INS officer?

quite normal

According to current trend your case will be touch in second half of 2004,
when second FP is issued. Don't worry but if you are calling please post
your response as I am in same boat.
 
I spoke with a CIS representative. She says, if I have done my part of going to local INS to give my finger print. Then, I am fine. Sometimes they update the status of casea with the latest, however in my case they did not, that does not mean that they do not have my FP results. They will update the status when they again start to work on the case.

I know that, this lady said in polite way to "keep waiting endlessly ..."
