People will recall that there was a wild forest fire rumor that the INS imposed moratorium for I-485 processing. Soon thereafter, the INS HQ sent a message that there was no such policy memo to the district offices. However, the immigration lawyers are apparently hearing from the local district offices that I-485 processing at the local district offices has indeed been on hold. Some reports indicate that part of this confusion come from confusion of line of command between enforcement unit and adjudication unit in the local district office, two being commanded by two different masters. We urge Mr. Michael Garcia, the new INS Commissioner to take command of the INS immediately and to straighten out the line of command in this very difficult time of transition. "
 
Don't ever try to teach INS. They are experienced and smart smarter and know what they are supposed to do. What information trickles to out side INS is much misintrepreted, guessed and extrapolated. Have full faith and trust.

Moratorium

Putting moratorium on immigration is one of the top goals of many anti-immigrant, Christian-conservative and rascist groups. Mr. Pat Buchanan was proposing such measures just before the 2000 election. The Buchanans’ may not be sitting in the white-house in person but their policies are being implemented one after another - if you know what I mean.
I won't be surprised if they indeed put such moratorium on immigration into the USA.
 
Miami INS on Hold

My friend went to Miami District Office today and waited 7 hours to be told that they were not processing/approving anything. My friend passed his interview on Nov. 6th, does anybody think there is a chance for approvals next week? Otherwise we need to cancel a long planned vacation.
 
CSC seems to be in shutdown mode

For the second straight day, there single no any case updated for WACs 02-041 (according to my tracking list) and 02-046 (according to Silly Man).
During last one and half months there was no day with absolute none activity in both WAC lists...
So, this makes me believe that CSC has physically stopped.
 
How do I track WACS?

Hi Off-patience,

My wac starts as WAC-02-033-XXXXX . Now how do I track the stats on WACs with this stating numbers?? Is there some website you go to for tracking specific groups of cases??

Do you know how I can track stats for the above wac?

Hi Tasse,

thanks for showing the link to the tool. It looks really useful. But like so many people pointed out maybe its not a good idea for everyone to run the tool and stress the server.

Has anyone run the tool for different WAC numbers and posted it on any URL?

Please do let me know. I'm interested in WAC-02-033-XXXXX .
