Hello,

I'm currently in the process of doing the I-485 procedure.

I've been in the U.S. since 3rd grade. I'm 31 now.

During the course of many years, I've studied & currrently doing CGI (computer generated Imagery) to survive/support myself.

Will this affect my 'intervew' if it ever comes?

INS states one may not "work" without authorization.

As I'm self-employed (freelancing), does this qualify has a "penality".

I have a ITIN and pay taxes every year with returns to prove it.

Curious

So what was your status before you applied for I-485?
did you enter US legally?

ITIN is NOT for employment purposes. You need a SSN and a valid authorization to work.

Yes, entered US legally, I have my I-94.

I'm aware of this detail, but I needed it to pay taxes.

Thanks
