Hi everyone,

I am getting my I-485 together and I was wondering what address do I use. I am at college and move often and I do not want important documents to be mailed to the wrong address. Can I just use my permanent address (parent's address) for all of the paperwork?

Thank you

you can use your parent address for your permanent address, and apply a P.O. Box near your college as a mailing address.

What address did u use when u apply for asylum? Did u change that address? If so, u must notify BCIS of such changes. I don't belive the address you put on your I-485 matter. Assuming your registered address on your file with BCIS is different from your parents and you use your parent's address for your I-485--BCIS will not send you documents to your parent's address unless you notify them such a change.

If you changed your address, my suggestion is that you must notify BCIS your address change (complete and send the Form and call them to confirm your new address is entered into the system).

You must make sure that BCIS has your correct address. Also, make sure that you sign up on BCIS online case status update website.
