Hi,
My I-485 case has been pending with NSC for 11 months now. My company decided to layoff about 1200 employees and I got affected by the layoff. I am not sure as to what will happen to my I-485 case. My I-485 was filed on 28'th March 2002.
1. Does every I-485 case get an RFE about current employment status.
2. Do I need to inform the INS about this layoff. I am guessing not, unless an RFE comes in about my employment.
3. If my next employment is of a contractor, will that affect my I-485 since that was filed when I was an employee.
4. Does my next employment have to be of the same wage as I was getting by my previous employer.
Any help in these matters is appreciated
-thanks
