I have completed four years on NIW and have a pending I-485. H-1B is valid through 7/2008. I have an EAD, and have applied for its renewal. I am from India, and am a victim of retrogression.
Q1) At the completion of 5 years, can I move to a regular job, considering that I have an EAD
Q2) Is there a limit to how many times I can renew my EAD, if I have a pending I-485?
Q3) I have not done any medical exams yet. Is that requested by INS or do I need to get them done out of my own volition? (Also, I have had FP only once, and there has been no RFE since)
Q4) My wife is doing a separate waiver, and is going through PERM LC. I did not add her to the I-485 initially, since I was told that I could not do so since she has a waiver pending. Can I still add her and get her an EAD through my pending I-485 after she completes the requisite 4 yrs for her waiver?
I have gotten this far with all your help, using the "do it yourself NIW" pointers. I would appreciate any input in this regard. Thanks!
