I-485 pending - Travel on AP

My I-485 was pending with NSC.H1b& wife's H4 visa stamped in passport will expires during October 2004.I have a valid AP.I am planning to travel INDIA 1st week of september and will be coming back end of this september.
For re-entry, should I use AP or H1-b ?
What is the required supporting documentation needed in either cases.

If I were you I would use the H1b visa. Also extend your H1b visa from the US. If you enter on a parall visa you cannot enter again on a h1b visa. The paroll visa take a lot of time to get. If you enter on a paroll visa, it is a lot more formalities.
