I-485 Pending, Sponsor to Be Indicted/Arrested

Got a few legal questions. I am a citizen, born here, and I married a german girl of cambodian origin in late '05. We filed for I-485 very soon thereafter. We had our interviews, and passed, if that's what it's called. My wife is now 6 months pregnant with our first. We are stuck in name check. I am the sponsor on the I-130, and had to show proof of income and all that.

But shucks, I am soon to be indicted on a white collar charge that's fairly serious. I have been offered a plea deal, which I don't think I'll take.

Questions:
1. Could the underlying investigation be holding this up? The prosecutor in this case is pretty much doing everything he can to pressure me. Is it possible that they can monkey with the immigration system?
2. Would a criminal charge effect my wife's green card if we've already been trhough the interview?
3. Would a criminal conviction (felony) on my record affect my wife's green card eligibility?

Beyond that, I don't know if I am missing any issues--what other questions or concerns should I have?

I have an attorney, but I am seeking a second opinion.

Does anyone have an answer or suggestion besides "ask someone else"?

not sure about this but I have read some where that only persons convicted of sexual crimes against children and human trafficking can not sponsor their spouses.

Is the I-130 approved already?? If the I-130 is already approved then they most likely will not look at your record. At the 485 stage, they are more interested in your wife's record not yours. Since your interview is already complete, most likely they have already signed off on the affidavit of support and other pertinent documents. Once the name check is complete, they should just mail out the Green Card without calling you guys in again...
