I-485 Pending - Employer Change

Hi,

I know many people had this question and got suggestions/comments on this issue.. changing jobs after 6 months..

My I-485's RD is Feb 18, 2002 and waiting for approval. My Client is asking to join as full-time employee. Otherwise, project will be cut-off by end of this month. Per AC21, I can join as full time as my application has been pending for more than 19 months.

What are precautions/documents I need to take before joining?

Do I need to inform BCIS about job change?

Some people informed BCIS about job change, some didn't. However, attorney sheela murthy recommends to inform BCIS. Check her web-site (FAQ) regarding AC21.

If you want to inform BCIS, check with your attorney what are needed. Also make sure the client company can provide employment letter in case of RFE.

In this current situation I would say take it. Before that find out how well client company support you. Find a good lawyer for rest of the process.

I have seen cases sent AC21 to vermont office. In your case File G-28 + AC21 forms with vermont office.
