I 485 pending??????Any Help Please

Hello,
My original appication has been submitted on april 30,2001 and i benefitted
from 245 I.I was interviewed on july 22,2004.(in NYC)and interview went so smooth with no problems or whatsoever.Since my finger prints results were not in officer did not stamp my passport.Since the beginning of this procedure i got EAD four times.Now i heard that USCIS stop issuing GC for now because they run out of visa numbers.Is this true and any body knows when they will start reissuing GC.And is this a normal delay for my case to take this long even after the interview.Any information will help i am so desperate.

The are out of visa numbers for certain applicants. It all depends on your country of chargeability (usually country of birth) and EB category. Check the DOS visa bulletin to find out if there is a visa number available for your application category. The phenomenon of running out of visa numbers and then have to wait is well discussed on this forum and called "retrogression." So, yes, the USCIS is not issuing GCs for many applications due to retrogression, but they are indeed still issuing GCs overall.
 
i am from Turkey and my category is EB3 i don't know if the same backlog or out visa numbers aplied to this too?
 
In that case, you are the subject of retrogression. When is your priority date? The USCIS is NOT accepting or processing any applications with a priority date later than March 15, 2001 (Yes, 4.5 years back in time).
