Hi.

I have couple questions regarding filing I-485.

Background: I (LPR at the time) married my wife when she
was under active F1 staus, filed I-130. I recently became US Citizen, so upgraded her I-130 via phone. Now, I am trying to file I-485 for my wife.

Q1. I-485 Application Type: Need help choosing correct tyep. I am thinking either it will be
A. I married my wife when she was under active F1 staus, filed I-130 (I guess she is out of status when her F1 expired), I received my US Citizenship, upgraded her I-130 via phone, now tryingto file I-485.
or
H. Other basis of eligibility. Explain. If additional space is needed, use a separate piece of paper. - with comment Adjustment due to marrieage to US Citizen

Q2. Where do i send the files to (485, 325, 693, 864, 765)?
Chicago or Nebraska? I was about to send it to Chicago, but friend of mine (lawyer, but not in immigration) advised me to send it to Nebraska. According to the on line status, my I-130 is in Cali office and status still pending.

I appreciate your help.

First of all, your wife should file I-485, not you, she is an applicant. She should write " my husband who is US citizen filed I-130 for me" where it says other eligability. You should send all applications to Chicago Lockbox.

Hi:

Not quire correct. The OP should check the box "A", which indicates that the I485 is filed with an I130, which if approved, would result in a visa number that would be immediately available. Include a copy of the originally filed I130, and a copy of the naturalization certificate. If you wish, include a cover letter stating that you have upgraded the I130 petition.
