I called USCIS to get the status saying my I-485 approval is out of normal processing time. I do know about retrogression. I got RFE for all family memebers in July 2008 and replied / saw update. I am frustrated as everybody and called them. I recieved email reply "Your application/petition remains awaiting review by an Officer and you will be notified as soon as a decision is made. The Service is waiting for VISA availability. Please check the visa bulletin website to check visa availability dates at www.travel.state.gov"
My questions
1) The service is waiting or VISA availability means that all other things are ok? (like background check/FBI report or some thing like that)??? What do you think of the word "awaiting review by an officer?)
Can I take it granted that reply to RFE was accepted and it is waiting only for VISA number?? or officer is going to look into it when VISA number is available??? can we certain about GC?
2)Any educational guess: how many people out there PD before Jan31, 2007, EB2 India?
3) Any sofesticated theory for app. approval date?
