Hello Gurus,
My I-485 was filed on Jan 2003. I called USCIS to check if they had got my FP2, the USCIS rep asked for my Lin# and just repeated the status which shows online. I said that I went for Fp2 and called FBI and FBI told me that they sent the FP2 results on the same day. But she said that we may have received your finger prints but not updated and she can not tell for sure.

I also asked out when would my application get approved, and she saw the processing time and said they are procesisng May 2002 so it would take 8 months or so!! :(

Any similiar experiences ??
thanks

The rep probably did a math extrapulation, 5/02-1/03 is 8 months.

The reps there are so d..b that expecting them to calculate and give an answer of 8 month is expecting too much. May be USCIS might have given them a ready reckoner with these calculations for reference. :) :D

She is not an idiot for 100% bacause she could calculate 13-5=8. Anyway, dont call them any more, it is absolutely wasting of time. I believe you don't want to talk to idiots for intelligent issues... They can do NOTHING but read the online status which you can do within a few seconds instead of waiting long time to listen to him(her).

It used to be that you can talk to an immigration officer, but no more. I've had two occasions where I did speak to IOs. Too bad it was at the wrong time - at the time when they were processing cases from Feb 1, 2002, so they only told me that my case is current.
