My I-140 was approved last week and this week we are filling our
I-485 .

One thing that I noticed and checked with the lawyers is that
on the G-325 form ( Biographic Information ) my current occupation
is mentioned as Software Engineer.

On my H1-b petition and my current work employment I have
Programmer/Analyst.

Lawyers ( Legal assistant ) says that it doesn\'t matter what the
H1-b petition says.
They have to be exactly similar to what they filled for the
RIR Labor Certification i.e. it was for Software Engineer.

My occupation is currently a Software Engineer with the activities currently same as approved by the Labor Conditions approval.

So at time of AOS will INS object to the current H1-b petition
being approved for Programmer / Engineer where I am a Software
Engineer by occupation.
Lawyers ( legal assistant) said it would not be a problem.

Anybody faced this before?

PS

I think your lawyer is right..

I think your lawyer is right. The LCA for H1 and LC for GC are two different entities. The LC for Green card is for future job. The information on I-485 should be in synch with the inforamtion on approved I-140.

Hope that helps

Will It create any problems or RFE on my current H1-b
which has a petition approved for programmer /Analyst
but my occupation is still Software Engineer?
